Privacy Policy — Pinoy SDA Assistant

Pinoy SDA Assistant ("the bot") is a Facebook Messenger chatbot operated on behalf of the Filipino Seventh-day Adventist Church in Singapore (FSDAC) to answer questions about the church, its services, and how to get there.

What information we collect

When you message the bot on Facebook Messenger, we receive:

• Your Facebook-assigned sender ID (a unique identifier Facebook provides to apps you message — this is not your Facebook profile or personal account details).
• The text content of the messages you send to the bot.
• If you consent to register for Gospel Weekend: your name, mobile number, email address, and address, location, or area.
• A pseudonymous registration identifier derived from your Facebook-assigned sender ID, used to find and update your registration without storing that sender ID in Google Sheets.

How we use this information

• To generate a relevant reply to your message using an AI language model.
• To temporarily store recent conversation history (up to the last few exchanges) so the bot can maintain context within a conversation.
• To create or update your Gospel Weekend registration and contact you about the event.

How long we keep it

Conversation history is automatically deleted after 7 days of inactivity. We do not retain a permanent log of individual conversations beyond this rolling window. Incomplete Gospel Weekend registration details expire from the bot after 24 hours. Submitted registration details are stored with their pseudonymous registration identifier in the church's Google Sheet for event administration until the church deletes them.

Third parties involved in processing

• Meta / Facebook Messenger Platform — delivers your messages to the bot and the bot's replies back to you, governed by Meta's own Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic (Claude API) — processes message text to generate a reply. Message text is sent to Anthropic's API for this purpose only.
• Cloudflare — hosts the bot's infrastructure (Workers, storage) that runs this service.
• Google — processes and stores submitted Gospel Weekend registration details through Google Apps Script and Google Sheets.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use your messages for advertising or profiling.
• We do not share your data with anyone beyond the processors listed above, except as required by law.

Your choices

You can decline the Gospel Weekend consent question or cancel before submission, and no registration will be submitted. You can stop using the bot at any time by simply not messaging the Page. If you would like your conversation history or submitted registration details deleted, contact us using the details below.
